Blync Companion App

Blync Companion App allows you to setup your Blync device before using it for the first time. It can be downloaded from the download page here

During the setup of your Blync device, you'll need to provide a few things that will allow for the best experience while using Blync. You'll need to select which region you are using blync from. This will allow your Blync device to connect to the closest server while biking in an online environment. You’ll also need to provide your bicycle details; the setup will require the width (diameter) of your back wheel and the minimum force (kg/lb) to push down your pedal while mounted on the bicycle trainer. This data is used to estimate your biking statistics like speed and calories burnt while riding in Blync. With these provided, you can complete setup and create your Blync account.

After creating your account, you will be logged in the dashboard. The dashboard has different menu items on the left hand side that perform different tasks. The first menu item that you will be logged in to is the VR APP menu. This menu shows a list of apps and other 3rd party games that support Blync. In this release stage, only Blync VR APP should be available. Once you select Blync VR in the list, you will be taken to a page to download the VR app for your specific VR device. Visit the download page to learn more about different supported VR devices

The dashboard also has a Bike Statistic menu. This menu is where you get a list of all your cycling statistics in Blync. Here you can find info on the environments you’ve biked in, estimated calories burnt during your rides, your total number of steps, your average/max power and the total time you were active. These values are estimated values calculated using the data you entered during setup. It is not accurate health data. The stats give you an idea of your progress in Blync.

Furthermore, the dashboard has an Event menu where you can view upcoming events or create your own private event. It has a user settings menu that you can use to update your profile settings or create another user profile. It also has a feedback menu that you can use to provide feedback on any issue or improvement you would like to see in Blync. Lastly, there is a premium account menu where you can support the continuous development effort of Blync and gain access to premium features in Blync. We intend to keep Blync servers running to provide you with biking experiences with friends around the world. We also have plans for new features, activities, games and continuous updates that will be based on your feedback.
